In 2012 the Live City Basketball League (“the League”) was founded under the parent company of Global Professional Sports. The League is a highly competitive environment for young people who have an incredible passion for basketball and sportsmanship. In its inaugural season, the League consisted of 3 age groups. Due to the League’s popularity, organization, professionalism and the relationships of the administrators, this year the league will feature nearly 70 teams in 6 age groups from across the tri-state area. All games will be played at Riverbank State Park from February through March, culminating with Championship on Sunday March 30th at the Knicks Practice Facility in Westchester.
Each weekend, more than 700 boys will participate, attracting a large audience of several hundred parents and other family members, high school coaches, people involved with basketball, and other spectators from across the tri-state area. Given the high caliber of teams and players, the League will undoubtedly house future top college prospects and professional players.
Our vision is that the League will continue to grow, the competition will be at the highest level, and that we provide an environment of quality basketball, sportsmanship and professionalism.
